So, my parents own a store, which means I manage it, and get to evangelize and share the gospel with people. The latest guy I got to pray with is a seemingly homeless guy (I actually never asked him about his living situation).*
Two days ago, my friend who is also a follower of Jesus was hanging out as I struck a conversation with Joe, joined in with us and started sharing as well. It was truly an incredible day. Note, I am an aggressive prayer. Meaning I will go up to anyone at any time and ask them if they would like prayer. I have been called cultish. I'm not sure how to take that. But Joe, you could really see a palpable change come over him. He had been touched by Jesus. Hallelujah! By the way, his complaints with our church were familiar. People weren't friendly enough, there was no heart. Sad to say, I kind of agree with him. But that's another story.
I was all amped up on Jesus juice and asked another one of my customers, Alvin, if he wanted prayer after he said his spine was crooked. We prayed. His spine did not straighten out, but he really encouraged me as he kept crying out to Jesus. I didn't know what to make of it!
Lastly, another one of my customers who is this awesome lady who works in the Rose Garden is always such a blessing to me. She was clearly shaken and upset and after she told me her issue, I prayed with her and she was crying tears of relief to unburden.
This is just another day in the life of a convenience store evangelist.

*I recently did an outreach with Starlight, an outreach for the homeless, and I was roleplaying a homeless woman. It was actually REALLY annoying and felt like an assault to be asked a barrage of questions! I encourage you to engage in one of their trainings for awareness and empathy. http://egc.org/starlight
