Today I prayed on the red line with 3 young black boys, all 17 years old to give them a prophetic word each. They had never heard the gospel, or at least would not admit to it. They were kind of flabbergasted by me, which was quite enjoyable. I was probably pretty far outside of their experience and it was awesome and fun to connect with them. I explained how Jesus died for them but satan wanted to keep them in bondage, but God had a plan to set them free.
I asked, Do you want to pray with me? And then I grabbed their hands. Joseph is a healer, Taylor a master chef (though he flat out denied it), LaQuah a great leader, maybe politician. I prayed (silently) that they would not be sucked into gangs and that they would be protected on the streets. I gave each of them a word of wisdom and It's such a beautiful thing to be walking in my calling. I feel God's presence when I'm evangelizing. I think the sweetest thing was when I was holding their hands, none of them wanted to let go. They kept holding my hand even when I stopped praying. They were so hungry for love! I don't think they even knew what hit them. Please pray for this generation, that their hearts would be stirred for Jesus!!!
Prayer request: that I would be able to connect these youth with men of God who would pursue them like Saul pursued David. Except for reasons to love and not to kill.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
