It's Day 2, and God has clearly put this challenge in my heart! I am almost shocked by how many He puts in my path for prayer and words of encouragement. I think that's really the heart of every believer/follower's ministry. That's what His love looks like. Harry Or Hari, was a Russian man who knew me when I was a little girl. I kind of remembered his face. I can't remember how, maybe he saw the joy on my face, maybe it was something else, but he said to me, I don't believe in miracles. WHAT?!?!?! I am sorry, but you NEVER say that to me or any true evangelist worth their salt (or light), pun intended, without getting prayed for. I asked him for his name. He asked why. I said so I can pray for you. He said No thank you. I grabbed his hand, and asked what is your name? (Don't do this unless you are a harmless looking individual...Asian women tend to get away with hijinks like this ;) He said Harry or Hari. So I closed my eyes and asked for a miracle and for God to show up in this man's life and take away his unbelief. When we opened our eyes, I detected the gratitude and small tears. Pray with me that he gets a miracle.
Then, just 5 minutes later, a girl came in, who I had seen once before, and she was so sweet and smiley. Today she turned around and then burst into tears. Oh, my heart broke for her and she told me she was just fired from her job. They wanted a senior architect, not a junior she told me, and there were a lot of big egos in that place. I had earlier today recounted to another customer about being fired from a job, and how it actually changed the course of my life and made the missionary and person that I am today! I prayed for her, her name is Jillian, and gave her a couple of hugs. I felt badly, but sowed some seeds of love. I should have given her a bible to read, now that I am thinking about it, but it didn't occur to me. I didn't share about Jesus, but said that God will open an even better door with kinder co-workers. She was so pretty and sweet and clearly needed some hugs. Day Two: a HUGE SUCCESS!!!!
